Chiropodist or Podiatrist?

There is no difference between a chiropodist and a podiatrist.

Chiropodists and podiatrists, deal with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the lower limb and are qualified to treat a wide range of patients including those with arthritis, diabetes, sports injury and they can also perform nail surgery under local aneasthetic. They are qualified to work both privately, as in our clinic, and in the NHS.

Helen and Matthew both graduated with a First class honours degree in Podiatry. They are members of The College of Podiatry and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.

They both have experienced treating a wide range of conditions. Helen has a special interest in nail surgery and wound care, while Matthew’s interests lie in biomechanics and dermatology.
